Diabetes UK 2017
At the annual Diabetes UK Professional Conference (8-10 March, Manchester Central), Dr Martin Whyte (Clinical Senior Lecturer in Metabolic Medicine), William Hinton (Research Fellow), and, Dr Andrew McGovern (MD student) presented posters on their research into the following areas:
• “Does the presence of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease influence prescribing behaviour in type 2 diabetes?” – Oral presentation
• “Disparities in the monitoring and management of people with Type 2 Diabetes” – shortlisted for Primary Care Poster Award
• “Disparities in the prescribing of DPP-4 inhibitors, SGLT2 inhibitors, and GLP-1 analogues in UK primary care”
• “A national audit of SGLT2 use in England”
