We are currently recruiting practices to participate in a study to determine whether a personalised ‘bite-sized’ audit based education package delivered via a practice dashboard and online education tools can lead to improvements in the implementation of National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) ‘Do-Not-Do’ recommendations in people with cardiometabolic comorbidities.
This study will be a 12-month cluster randomised controlled trial beginning in December 2022. Participating practices will be randomly selected to either an intervention or control group. Intervention practices will receive an audit based education package, whilst practices in the control arm will continue with their usual care.
This study is a collaboration between Leicester Diabetes Centre and the Universities of Oxford and Surrey. It is funded by the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration (ARC) East Midlands.
What is involved
Participating Practices allocated to the intervention arm will need to:
- Check a personalised dashboard monthly
- View pre-recorded webinars
