Cecilia Okusi
Data Scientist & SQL Developer
My work is focussed on respiratory disease surveillance in England, and I primarily support the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) with respiratory and communicable disease reports that are distributed twice weekly. I am also responsible for dashboard development in the team, including a dashboard to monitor circulating viruses in the community which is published on the government website. I also provide data-cuts from the Oxford-Royal College of General Practitioners Clinical Informatics Digital Hub (ORCHID) for statistical analysis. I have played my part in COVID-19 pandemic research and more recently I am enlisted as a dissertation project tutor in the MSc in Applied Digital Health. I have a BSc (Hons) in Biochemistry and Master’s in Translational Clinical Science from University College London. I have previously worked as a Statistician, and I began my career in health data management and analysis in 2012.
