Paul Bateman

PhD, MSc, MSci

Statistical Programmer

I am employed as a Statistical Programmer on a variety of projects in the Health Behaviour and Hypertenstion teams. These projects include reducing meat consumption through eco-labelling or availability trials (LEAP), reducing tobacco by using e-cigarettes (MaSC), monitoring of medication reviews of patients with multiple morbidities (OSCAR) and home blood pressure monitoring (SHIP). I am also involved with teaching on number of Evidence Based Health Care MSc modules. I come to this with a background as a biochemist with experience in cellular transplantation and diabetes, developing point-of-care medical devices, and the effects of dietary fatty acids on lipoprotein metabolism.
