Practice Dashboards and Observatories
Dashboards
Our dashboards are updated weekly and show trends for our practices across England. Our dashboards do not show patient level data.
Practices that participate in our virology swabbing and/or serology sampling can monitor their progress through these two practice dashboards. Practices can access their practice level data by entering the designated dashboard key.
If you are unsure of what your key is then please contact our Practice Liaison Team - practiceenquiries@phc.ox.ac.uk.
The virology dashboard is split into 3 sections: Virology, ARI Diagnosis and Flu Vaccine. Examples of the type of data you can expect to see in these sections are as follows:
- Number of swabs by week
- Average number of swabs per practice by week
- Percentage of positive samples by week
- Percentage of positive samples by viral strain by week
- Number of swabs by swab source (i.e. in practice or at home test)
- Number and percentage of virology samples by virus by coded ARI diagnosis for a selected time period
- Number of virology samples by coded ARI by week
- Flu vaccine coverage by YTD by eligible group by week
- Viral positivity to date
- Flu vaccine coverage by YTD by eligible group
The serology dashboard highlights the following data
- Samples collected by age
- Samples collected by week
Observatories
We enhance our surveillance and research activities by providing dashboards to RCGP RSC member practices. We also provide dashboards for national and regional insights which we call observatories. Dashboards and observatories aim to provide feedback on care and prevention, improve data quality and monitor prescribing. They integrate large primary care data, and virology and serology sample data, into a simpler and more accessible format.
